IndustriAll European Trade Union and Cepi are launching a call for tenders to subcontract an external expert in the framework of the EU-funded project: Ensuring Future-Proof Jobs in the Paper Sector: Navigating Just Transition and the Attractiveness of Sustainable Pulp and Paper Industries in the EU.
We are seeking to subcontract a qualified expert or consortium of experts to deliver in-depth research, analysis, and recommendations focused on the social pillar of sustainability in the European pulp and paper sector. The selected expert will play a central role in supporting social partners”employers and trade unions in building strategies for a Just Transition, while strengthening social dialogue and fostering good-quality, future-proof jobs.
The European pulp and paper sector is at the forefront of the green and digital transitions. While continuing to deliver essential products to society, the sector is transforming rapidly posing both opportunities and challenges for workers and employers. The sector directly employs more than 180,000 people, with the wider forest-based value chain supporting 4 million jobs across Europe.
Purpose of the Tender
The selected expert will:
- Conduct research and draft a comprehensive report (approx. 60 pages) on social dialogue, just transition, and employment in the European paper and pulp sector.
- Identify best practices and challenges in three focus areas: working conditions and skills, sector attractiveness, and job transition.
- Support in the kick-off conference, two regional workshops, a training session, and a final dissemination conference.
- Collaborate with the project team and steering committee throughout the project lifecycle.
