Fibre Packaging Europe, a coalition of seven industry associations representing the entire European paper packaging value chain, 710,000 jobs and €110.4 billion in annual turnover, confirms its support of the non-paper content thresholds as defined in the ‘Design for Recycling table for conventional mills (factories) in the paper packaging industry’ proposal.
The proposal developed by Cepi reflects a broad alignment across the paper packaging value chain, representing a
key milestone in ensuring that paper-based packaging is recycled by the paper industry into new products. Fibre Packaging Europe now calls on the European Commission to acknowledge the industry-aligned position in its upcoming Delegated Act on Design for Recycling for paper-based packaging.
