*Updated: REINVEST2050 brochure 2021 here.

Cepi is pleased to invite you for the launch of the third edition of REINVEST 2050 hosted by Members of the European Parliament Miapetra Kumpula-Natri (S&D, Finland), Nils Torvalds (Renew, Finland) and Adam Jarubas (EPP, Poland).

REINVEST 2050 is the commitment of the paper industry to demonstrate what investments are made in our sector to continuously reduce emissions and mitigate climate change. Every two years we share case studies from across Europe showing companies’ efforts to improve their energy efficiency and to switch to renewable energy sources.

This year REINVEST 2050 will demonstrate 16 leading innovations representing 11 companies from 8 European countries.

The launch event is an ideal opportunity for the European industry and policymakers to talk about the policy tools for de-risking and rewarding investments in energy efficiency, CO2 avoidance and renewable energy. With the right enabling framework, the pulp and paper industry has the potential to contribute to reaching the new 2030 targets and climate neutrality by 2050.

The panellists will discuss how the “Fit for 55” package can best support clean technology innovation and the production of sustainable, renewable and recyclable products so that they can continue playing a pivotal role in the transition towards a low-carbon society.
