On 4 September, we launched an interactive exhibition Paper Presents (see the video here) to introduce the paper industry to the new Members of the European Parliament. The event took place in the Radisson Red Hotel, Brussels, and gathered national pulp and paper industry associations, MEPs and industry representatives.
Together with our partners, FEFCO, ACE and FEPE, we held a products’ exhibition to illustrate the diversity and future oriented approach of our industry and to showcase the innovative uses of paper -a renewable, recyclable, and responsible product.
The exhibition featured a total of 17 products related to different policy areas, such as circular economy, energy, material substitution, food safety, waste management, public health, and digitalisation. In addition, two digital rooms and Nintendo Labo corner made this event a unique and interactive experience.
CEPI’s Director General, Jori Ringman, emphasized in his key note speech the huge diversity of the products within the paper industry and highlighted that “we all have in common the renewability and the recyclability“.
ACE’s Director General, Annick Carpentier, underlined that it is a symbolic action illustrating our commitment to sustainable forest management.
“European Forests have been growing by over 1,500 football pitches every day. CEPI, FEFCO, FEPE and ourselves, we will ensure that a tree is planted on behalf of every one of you “
