Cepi has co-signed together with other key European industries a letter calling for linking the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) with the new UK Emissions Trading System (UK ETS).
The letter is addressed to the top EU and UK policymakers and calls for the linkage negotiations to begin swiftly, especially ahead of COP 26 this November, as linking the UK and EU ETS would reaffirm the UK and EU as climate leaders, and demonstrate strong advocacy for international carbon markets.
