The European Rotogravure Association will hold its annual conference in Mainz, Germany from September 30th until October 1st. The conference will focus on the current situation of the (gravure) printing industry.
ERA expects some hundred participants, who will discuss the structural changes in the markets for communication and the consequences for the printing industry. An important speaker is Dr. Jens Ulbrich, Chief Economist of the German Bundesbank. He'll talk about the crisis in the Euro zone.
The participation fee for the conference will be 595 € + 19% VAT for ERA members, and 895 € + 19% VAT for non-members. The conference itself will be held on Tuesday, October 1st 2013. On Monday September 30th, the guests can participate in an evening reception at Kloster Eberbach.

The 20th Annual Conference will be held in Nancy, France, on 23–27 September 2013.The event stretches for the whole week with various side-events taking place before and after the main conference. The National Institute for Agricultural Research (INRA), AgroParisTech – ENGREF, the University of Lorraine, ECOFOR, Grand Nancy, La Région Lorraine, and the Central European Regional Office and the Observatory for European Forests (EFICENT-OEF) are the local hosts for this exciting event.

Speaking at: Pulp and paper market outlook session
With over 20 years of experience with the company, Kurt leads RISI´s analysis of the pulp and recovered paper segments of the industry, specializing in papergrade pulp. He publishes a monthly commentary and forecast on the world pulp market, World Pulp Monthly. He also produces RISI´s long–term pulp forecasts, focusing on variables such as pulp consumption, capacity, production, production costs, and pricing. In 2012, Kurt was the project leader and principal author of RISI’s multiclient study, The China Pulp Market: A Comprehensive Analysis and Outlook, which is the most comprehensive and in-depth study to date of the Chinese pulp market. Kurt was stationed in Beijing in 2011 and in Brussels in 2012 and is currently working out of RISI’s Boston-area office. Prior to specializing in papergrade pulp, Kurt was Director of Pulp & Paper Forecaster and was responsible for forecasting prices and market conditions across all of the major grades of paper and paperboard in North America, including containerboard, newsprint, and printing and writing papers. In 1995, he received the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and holds degrees in Economics from the University of Virginia and Miami University.
