At this 2-day conference the Forest-based Sector Technology Platform (FTP) will have the opportunity to officially launch its revised Vision 2030 and Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda 2020 (SRA). These renewed and updated documents will help set the course for the forest-based sector over the coming years.
Following the success of the Early-Stage Researchers’ Forum at the last FTP conference, a similar event will be organised in Barcelona. The Forum will kick-off ahead of the conference, on Monday 11 March and will, once again, be supported by COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology). We hope to attract a good number of early-stage researchers from across the forest-based sector value chains.
Discussions throughout the conference will focus on the FTP revised SIRA and how it ties into the upcoming EU funding programme Horizon 2020, as well as how the forest-based sector will contribute to the future bioeconomy, the European Research Area and issues linked to Mediterranean forests. Study tours will be offered on the last day, Thursday 14 March.
